Touch United (19th May 2007) [updated team's name]

Opponent Team: Touch United
Venue: Jurong Junior College

--
Final Score: 0 : 2
Yellow Card: Roskaider
Man Of Match: Kiran (Hope i got his name correct) - the previous game that we lost, we said no MOM for game lost ..hmm double standard? Must fix this. If now have, then must be consistent! In all future losing (choy! touch wood) games also must have. Because accordingly to a popular chinese belief (i translating it quite literally)if the bottom is not straight, the top confirm crooked.

The match started ordinary, with some of the other team players having great pace. Their goalkeeper did not come on time and Kee Yong had to play for them1.

The opponent team was the more dangerous team in the first half, having 2 goals ruled out for offside. However according to Mr O he suspected the 1st goal should be allowed while the 2nd goal was a good call. At this time let's remind ourself, referees are also human - they are not perfect, have off days2. Our keeper - Kumar had a few saves to keep us in the game.

Our team best chance in the 1st half falls upon Ken Wong (a player whose hair is so flamboyant and ever changing like the whole light spectrum wave like that ... well almost ...except it never black ahahah) only to be deny by the goal post.

Before the half ended, the opponent took the lead via a soft header(there was a very slight hint of hand ball, opponent had connected with the ball but it was headed towards his own arm before deflecting it into goal) from a resulting corner.

On came the 2nd half, changes were made. We attempted to make a comeback without much progress. This half's best chance fell to our captain to put our team back on level and on most occasion he would have made that chance into a goal. But alas, this time it was not meant to be, it went slightly wide (Must be politically correct since he is my captain ahaha). Also refer to referee(s) being human and also the note2,3 on off days.

As the game seems to be going for a defeat (in the end, it really did!) for our team, we try to push up our gear slightly but not much results was shown. Kee Yong was called upon to make a fine save during one of their counter-attacks. A late quick counter from BanBang's Team from the right wing had a good cross coming in which Kee Yong had a catch but failed to keep it tight and the loose ball fell to the feet of an opponent who simply tap it in3.

Final whistle came not long after this, i not so sure abt the rest, but i was really glad when it came :P

Notes:
1 When opponent team's keeper came, for some reason(s) alien to us, he simply refuse to change? But it was good entertainment for some of us.
2LB had a terrible game but again he's not perfect, will try not to let this happen again.
3Even our 2006 best defender also not perfect. But still LB should have "protected" the keeper by continuing his run instead of watching the game as if he's a spectator.
