Man Of Match: Osman

--
Sorry for late report, as "relief reporter" fell ill when approached to help with this report.

ODS raced to a 4 goal lead in the first half with goals from Osman scoring a brace, first after receiving a through ball and scoring from close range.

His second was from an indirect free kick inside the penalty area, after the opposition keeper handled a back pass from his own defender. The ball was rolled gently into Osman's path who curled it beautifully into the top corner.

Mark Penu also scored from a close range header in the box.

Liang Han maintained his form of scoring in every game of the new season after his new strike partner Raymond fed him with a through ball. Much was left to be done still, but Liang Han muscled his opponent and rounded the keeper for his goal.

Second half was a thriller.

First we saw Osman completed his hat-trick when Irwin floated a free kick over the defence to Osman who controlled it brillantly on his chest before volleying it into the goal like RVP.

But ODS was made to go through a series of crazy moment, conceding 3 penalties in 10 minutes. First Rosk handled the ball, followed by Tony who also handled the ball. Third was a harsh one, as Chee Mun clearly got the ball from a sliding tackle.

With the score at 5-3, much was left to be played. And Tony committed a foul at the edge of the box. The opponent fired a fierce shot past the poorly built wall. (After the game, Kee Yong gave us a lecture on how the wall should form and who should be in the wall, and who has NOT been in the wall for years!!!)

5-4

The game got very tense, but Mark Teo ended all hopes of a comeback with a header. Ken Wong provided the precise cross from a corner and Mark Teo shook off his marker to head the ball in.

6-4

A thrilling game indeed!!!
