Season 2013 kicks off with a bang, quite literally too.
Just ask Liang Han. TIANG!!!

Few players, Chee Mun, Yang Song and Osman made their return from their various injuries.

And 5 players took the chance to open their scoring account on opening day, including Ken Wong who scored on the first match of the season for the first time in his ODS career.

Osman wasted no time, scoring in under 5minutes of the game, with a lobbing shot that caught the out-of-position keeper by surprise.

1-0

But Osman's involvement was ended soon when his old calf injury came back to haunt him. Leonard was the replacement.

Cheen Ming barely got out of first gear when he scored, his usual style, down the right, and placing the shot under the keeper.

2-0

Elango was the third player to get his name on the score sheet.
He did a brilliant "dummy" fooling the defender into believing he was going to shot with his right leg, but instead, he did a full 360degrees turn and shot with his left leg, beyond the reach of the keeper.

3-0

Liang Han should have gotten his name on the score sheet with this effort, tipping the ball dedicately over the keeper. It looks destined for goal, except the defender made a last ditched attempt to try to clear the ball, but instead, he kicked the ball into his own goal!
The bench sounded in unison, "OWN GOAL!"
Even Leonard walked towards the bench and said, "ÖG".

4-0

Liang Han was not to be denied as he made a brave attempt to meet the ball and slide the ball into goal as he clashed with the keeper in the process.

5-0

Man of the match Cheen Ming got his brace, cutting in from the right and shooting with his left leg. He blasted the ball over the head of the keeper. That ball should be travelling at at least 180km/h.

6-0

Half Time

Second half saw ODS field a much weaker team, leaving Tony on the bench.
Afterall, 10 Ken Wong is not even equivalent to 1 Tony.

And it shows, as ODS failed to keep a clean sheet.
It's pretty obvious that ODS has been struggling to keep a clean sheet whenever Tony is not playing.
When was the last time ODS kept a clean sheet without Tony on the field?

The opponents pulled one back, when the striker toe-poked the ball towards goal after the defence failed to clear the ball out of the danger zone.
The ball appears to be heading out for a goal kick, but a wicked spin brought it back towards goal and went in off the near post as the young and inexperienced keeper failed to see the ball out.

6-1

Mark Teo was taken off and Tony was brought on to inspire the team.
A counter attack, quick passes found Leonard bringing the ball down the left wing. Ken Wong raced down the right, Leonard spotted the run and drilled the ball across goal. Ken Wong met the ball with a precise finish and side footed the ball into the goal and completed the rout.

7-1

A good start, a sign of a good season to follow.
