Citibank

THIS REPORT CAME VERY FAST!! Less than 7hours, i guess it must be because he score! wahaahhah

REPORT BY KEN WONG

Full Time Score: ODS 6 - 0 Citi Bank (2-0 at half time)
Scorers: Ken Wong (x02), Melvin (x02), Liang Han (x01), Faizal (x01)
Man Of Match: Ken Wong (with 6votes!!! including 1 by Ken Wong himself =P)

Starting XI
Keeper: Kumar
Def (L-R): Chee Man, Kiran, Kee Yong, Tony
Mid (L-R): Kim Chuan, Dennis, Mark Penu, Ken Wong
Att: Liang Han, Hairy

Even before the game started, Hairy and Liang Han were busy discussing about who should be doing all the dirty work, and letting the other person have the easy job of tapping in the ball for the goal. At this point, Liang Han was still laughing heartily, the same way you would see him do when he's half drunk.

So the visitors took the kick off. But they hardly threatened ODS. ODS first chance at goal came shortly after the kick off. Kim Chuan with a cross from the left, but Liang Han was unable to meet the ball with a clean header, and the ball fell to Ken, who attempted a volley. But the weak shot was blocked by the defenders and the defender cleared the ball easily.

But Ken Wong was not to be denied his goal, not today. Mark Penu bulldozed his way past the defenders and cut the ball back across goal from the goal line and Ken Wong was at the far post, and he won't miss on this occasion, placing the ball past the keeper and defenders from just outside the 6yards box.

1-0

After the restart, ODS started adding even more pressure on the opponent's back line. And the opponent made matters worse with their constant foul throw.
At some point, Liang Han was fouled just outside the penalty area. And Ken Wong rushed to take the free kick, but the ball went just above the crossbar.

With ODS defence hardly threatened, especially when Kee Yong was having such a fantastic game, where he cut out the opponents attack, reading the game very well, and clearing ball after ball, headers or interceptions. And Kumar only had to make 2saves from a weak shot and a hopeful header in the first half.

With the confidence in ODS defence, (what else do you expect when you have Kiran as last man, Kee Yong as stopper, Chee Man playing the safe game at left back, and Tony was very lively on this day, often providing the extra attacking option and covering a lot of ground too.), the midfielders and strikers pushed up even more in attack and were often too much for Citi Bank defence, and ODS won a few corners.

During one corner, Liang Han headed the ball, and the ball appears to have crossed the line, but the keeper managed to scope it out somehow, and the referee waved "PLAY ON"!!!

But in the next corner to come, Ken Wong made good sure that the same thing don't happen twice. He stood intelligently in front of the keeper just as Kim Chuan was taking the corner kick. The kick found Liang Han who flicked the ball on towards goal. With the keeper and defenders rushing towards the ball, Ken Wong was just a step faster and he headed the ball into the back of the net right under the keeper's nose and before the keeper could get his hands on the ball.

2-0

ODS could have gone a few more goals up in the opening half, but there was no one to meet the ball at the far post, Ken Wong guilty of not running all the way into the 6yards box.

Half Time

During half time, Tony gave Ken Wong a pep talk, Tony said this, "Loo Wah, you are the youngest in the team, you should run a bit more, and all the way in. Then you will be able to meet those balls that were played across goal. I want to do it, but I'm old and not able to do it. If not, I will definitely do it."

Second Half XI
Keeper: Kumar
Def (L-R): Dennis, Kiran, Mark Penu, Yang Song
Mid (L-R): Osman, Mark Teo, Irwin, Faizal
Att: Liang Han, Melvin

ODS restarted the game, with some exhausted players who played in an earlier game and Osman still nursing a back injury.
Therefore, Osman was not taking on players but just simply playing short passes and through balls. One of his through balls for Melvin fed him through perfectly. Melvin then rounded the onrushing keeper and put the ball in for ODS 3rd goal.

3-0

Dennis then came out for Hairy.

After ODS 3rd goal, even the ODS defenders want a share. And it became incredibly clear when Kiran and Mark Penu were doing a one-two just outside the opponent penalty area. (And they are the centre backs in the second half, the last line of defence!!!)

Mark Penu then came out for Kee Yong.

Liang Han then got the goal he deserved, after playing so hard, (especially when he's still half drunk and suffering from a hangover.) He scored after some brilliant move involving Osman and Melvin, feeding him through and he has no problem scoring that kind of goal which he used to do so just like a routine.

4-0

Shortly after his goal, Liang Han came off for Kim Chuan. But not before he wasted another chance, when he did not anticipate Osman's cross to come to him and could not connect with the ball properly.

With fresher legs, Kim Chuan beat the defenders for pace when Osman played some more through balls. Kim Chuan would then cut the ball back for Osman, but Osman was unlucky on a few occasions, with his shots often just wide.

Faizal on the right, sent in many beautiful crosses, but ODS tried to play some fancy football instead of being direct.

After a foul throw by Kiran, and some persuasion by Liang Han, Ken Wong went in for Kiran with about 10mins left on the clock for him to get his hat-trick. Yang Song then went in to the last man position, and Ken Wong would play as right back. (The initial plan by Liang Han was to move Melvin to right back so that Ken Wong can play as a striker.)

Immediately after the substitution, and a cross from the left that found Faizal, and Faizal blasted home from close range.

5-0

The 6th goal came from Melvin. A short cross by Faizal from the right into the 6yards box and Melvin slided in to push the ball past the goal line for his 2nd of the day.

6-0

With victory clearing in ODS favour, but with 2men in search of their hat trick at this point of time, there was no slowing down. ODS continued to pour down the attack, remembering Tony's pep talk, Ken Wong raced down from his right back position to the centre of the opponent's penalty box, to meet Kim Chuan's outward curling cross. Ken Wong leaped, rose up high to head the ball brilliantly. And the ball went into the back of the net. Just as Ken Wong was about to start his celebration, the referee blew his whistle for offside!!! Must to the disbelief of everyone, especially Ken Wong!!! (There was claims by Kiran after the game ended, that it is clearly a goal and the referee made a wrong call as he was standing in line with the action as the ball was crossed and headed and Ken Wong was definitely ONSIDE!!! But like what Osman said, the referee has the final say.) =(:::::::::

The last chance for Ken Wong to get his hat-trick came, when Faizal laid the ball for Ken Wong to shoot from about 18yards out. Ken Wong managed to keep the ball low, his shot went wide of the far post.

Game ended after the goal kick.

Taking this opportunity, Ken Wong would like to thank all ODS players for their brillant play. Without the support and fantastic teamwork, Ken Wong wouldn't be able to score today, 2goals some more, that's twice as much as his total goal tally for last season.
Thank you guys very much.

For scoring two goals, the girls are out in force to see Ken play.

What is going to happen if the girls find out that Osman and Liang Han have been scoring three goals in a game.

Pandemonium!!!! Sng, maybe need crown control if Ken is going to score some more goals in the coming games
