Roskaider's ExStudent Team

Reported by KEN WONG

Venue: Victoria School

Full Time Score
ODS 1 - 2

Scorers: Liang Han (x01)

Injuries: Dennis

Yellow Card: Mark Penu

Game began rather normally, with both side playing safe football at the start.
The goal came out of nowhere, when Liang Han went to challenge for a hopeful ball, and the opponent's keeper came off the line trying to catch it, but made a mess out of the whole situation, allowing Liang Han to score the first goal of the game.

Soon later, Dennis appeared to pull his muscles and came off. Ken Wong went on for the injured Dennis.

Later in the first half, during a corner, ODS keeper tried to catch the ball, but missed it and the defenders failed to clear the ball, in the midst of a goalmouth melee, the opponents managed to get their equaliser.

Half Time

At the restart of the game, ODS controlled the game. But the opponents were pretty fast on their counter-attacks, especially when ODS lost the ball in midfield.
During one instant, the defence were caught short-handed and were back paddling, and the opponent saw the opening for him to take a long range effort that beat ODS Keeper.

After this goal, ODS had the lion share of the possession, and the opponents somehow seemed contented to just sit back and defend their slender lead.
ODS had multiple changes, but failed to find the back of the net.

Liang Han in particular, did a fantastic job in shielding the ball, but there was no support to feed the ball off him.
Liang Han's dirty attics should also be mentioned here, when he barged into an opponent in the back, resulting in some angry players and some ugly commotion later on involving Seah.

In what appeared to be the last moments of the game, Liang Han had many choices of who to play the ball to, and when he finally decided to play the ball to Ken Wong, who was camping in the centre of the penalty area, the opponent seemed to transform to "Mr Fantastic", stretched his leg to the max, and made the slightest of touches with the ball, denying what would have a do-or-die attempt on goal if it reaches Ken Wong.

Full Time, and ODS faced their second defeat so EARLY (this part - Mr H added one) into the year , after failing to take their chances.

Next game on 16/02/08, Sat.
There should be a dinner cum LOU HEI after this match.

ros, you played so well that if there was any yellow card, people would tend to attribute it to you. A physical game and a few yellow cards were dished out, ...

ref issued a few yellow cards, yes ...but more to the opponent (due to their loud-mouth), i dont think any for us (due to our gentleman conduct). Most of the time i was at the incident area cos i was trying to pacify the opponent.

So Ros did not get it? Was it Mr I who have been keeping quiet. Someone from our team did get a yellow card.
