The day began with us meeting up on time at Woodlands Secondary School. The bus that came to pick us up was late. And we ended up taking 2 hours to fully clear both Singapore and Malaysia custom before the actual journey started.

We stopped over lunch somewhere at a favourite joint but one that i went for the 1st time. Rain began to fall and we were pretty concerned that our 1st international game will have to be cancelled due to water logged pitch.

The rain didn't appear like it would stop anytime, in fact it rained all the way until our match was over.

We also overheard news of the explosive in KL bus terminal where an unfortunate gal was injured. Terrible things that horrible people do.

Upon reaching KL we checked into our service apartment Sucadas. It was quite a comfortable and spacious apartment so to speak.

Before long, we were making our way to the match, hoping it will carry on as planned which it did ultimately.

Match Report
Prematch, we took some pictures and passed some gifts (form of towels) for opponent.

With some part of the field water-logged, we reckoned that ground passing game would be pretty much next to impossible. Chipping or floating balls seem to be a more viable option.

The first chance went to J4, having the shot scrimping pass the wet post. The opponent settle very well into the game as it's their home ground. The 1st 25minutes saw them coming at us pretty much. Before long, the defence was cracked.

Gk-kumar was slightly slow in coming out for a loose ball but made 2 fine saves only for the 3rd shot to go into the net. The defence do have some guilt in watching GK making his saves i guess.

Suria - our guest player who was an ex-national began to show some of his fine skills, juggling the ball over opponent and executing perfect deft kicks effortlessly.

We began to settle in a little bit better at this point of time and subsequently rewarded with the equalizer coming from Liang Han. A through ball came from the left and Liang Han make no mistake by lobbing the ball at goal which saw the keeper well beaten.

At half-time, the goal score stayed at 1-1

We started the 2nd half with more purpose after settling in a little during the latter part of the 1st match. A good corner taken by Suria found the head of MOM-Liang Han. The opponent's defence was caught having some loose markings of the player.

*updated*
We were then leading 2-1 with Roskaider marshalling the defence very well. Unfortunately the tide changed when Ros had to leave the field injured when the opponent stepped (accidently?)on his head and neck. Before that Ros was having a good game. Note:Thanks KK for this! No wonder i felt something was missing!!

Another break from our left by our opponent saw a cross coming in which GK palmed down only to fall at the feet of the opponent who failed to the best of this chance.
Subsequently the opponent replied with a header.

During the ending mintues, a ball fell into a pool of water at our goal's mouth, Mat should have cleared it at first time but instead he hesitated, Mark Penu came in to try clear in only to have a puddle of mud water splashing at this face and by this time, the opponent make no mistake in converting that into a goal.

We attempted to fight back with some time remaining only for a ball floating past hairy who was caught indecisive whether to go for the ball or not and the opponent to head-lobbed the ball into the far left corner of the post.

The final whistle came shortly came after this - and hence our 3rd defeat. Let's lift our spirits up and may this be also our last defeat for the rest of this season.

It was quite a formidable & good team to play against, however the field condition could have been better, anyway at least we got to play after travelling so far. Most important is that we enjoyed the game & no bones broken.
